Semuc Champey, the turquoise colour of the water alone is stunning but then to see these pools of it layered one after the other, ringed with lush green foliage and dappled with sunshine… it created one of those moments where you send a silent prayer of thanks to the Goddess for her handiwork.
Well what a travel day! It was supposed to be simple, 6:30 pickup at Tikal, dropped off at the intersection to Belize to be picked up by my next transfer.
Didn’t plan on being in Antigua during a religious event but it was a pretty cool experience!
