What Baby Elephants Mean to Their Family

Let me tell you about baby elephants. The obvious is that they are adorable, no question. They are spirited and mischievous and the minute the new baby at the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand looked into my eyes and touched my face with his trunk I was a goner.

Sometimes you connect with a place so well you actually here the *click*. It doesn’t happen often with me but it did with Hermanus, South Africa.

Cavalli Stud and Wine Farm – Highlight of My Trip

Wine and horses. Anyone who knows me knows that combo would be like catnip. And it was. I stumbled across Cavalli Wine and Stud Farm by accident while planning the Cape Town portion of my trip to South Africa. Just reading their name I knew I would pay any amount (ok, almost) to spend time in…

Why Crone?

Why crone indeed. Well it is all about empowerment. Crone is a word that has been turned into yet another weapon to make women feel crappy about growing old.
So I want to take all the air out of that balloon & use it to help me fly by hoisting my crone flag high and proud. You know - "I am crone hear me roar" etc etc. I may not be the wisest one out there but I am a hell of a lot wiser than I was 30 years ago and that's all anyone can really hope for, right?
